Eleven New TRACK Trails Open in One Day
To celebrate National Kids to Parks Day (May 19th), the Kids in Parks program opened 11 new TRACK Trails in 3 different states, doubling the size of our program in one day. Two trails opened in the Asheville region, 2 trails opened in VA State Parks, and 7 trails opened in South Dakota's State Parks and State Recreation Areas. Kids to Parks Day is a nationwide event sponsored by the National Park Trust with the goal of getting kids in our parks so they can discover and enjoy the parks in their community, inspiring the next generation of future park stewards.
