Visit the Museum of North Carolina Minerals along the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 331) to learn about the region's unique mineral resources and mining heritage. Explore hands-on exhibits in the museum and learn about the geologic activity to formed the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

After visiting the museum, use the self-guided brochures on a nearby trail to learn about the natural and historical resources found in the area. The site's bilingual Hide & Seek brochures will help visitors find items hiding along the trail, while the site's Overmountain Men brochure will provide insights into early American history and the Revolutionary War.
